When “To Kill For” opens Alfred Hitchcock is in eternity. The film director is depressed because he misses his wife, Alma. He tells this to a film buff who gets him to do a remake of “Vertigo” while he waits for Alma to appear. As the remake progresses Hitch realizes that the film buff is not exactly what she seems.

In this well researched fiction we learn why a filmmaker would jeopardize his extraordinary talent and his wonderful marriage to be with an actress and then another and then another.
